Don’t judge, make a change!

Dear readers,

The world knows so many people. So who are we to decide if someone is weird? Maybe they’re just a little different from yourself, but they’re people too, you know.

I don’t think we’re allowed to judge. We all do it, there’s no point in denying. But why, though..? To make ourselves feel better? Shouldn’t we feel better after sending people our love and respect? After treating them like equals? Cause that’s what they are!

I meet new people every day. On the streets, while traveling and because of my internship. And yes, I find some of those people a bit strange. But that doesn’t mean they’re less valuable. They may not have the same view on life as me. If we judge people based on that, then we’re the weirdoes in this story. Cause we should respect other people’s thoughts. Maybe we could even learn from them.

They might have seen things in life that made them change their mind on certain subjects. And I don’t think we should treat them differently or make fun of them because of that.

So let’s make a change. Yes, another one.
For once, don’t judge. Listen to what people have got to say. And it doesn’t matter if you agree or not. But it’s their point of view. So talk about it, try to see life through their eyes.

If you want to feel better, start with the person next to you. One day you’ll get it in return.

Much love,

Sam

What is…

Dear readers,

I’ve been thinking about this alot lately. What is beauty? There are people who are pretty on the ouside, but who are actually total snobs. And then you’ve got people who don’t have a smooth skin and pearly whites and they often turn out to be one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet in your life.

A little while ago, I saw an interview with “The ugliest woman”. I’m sorry, but I don’t remember what show it was, but I’m pretty sure that if you Google “The ugliest woman”, you will find it.
Anyway, I’m going to be honest with you; I was shocked at first. But when I continued watching I didn’t see an ugly woman. I saw a young lady with a disease. A young woman eating all day long to stay alive without being able to gain any weight. Yes, you can see every little detail of her bones. But did you see that smile too? And did you see that sparkle in her eyes? I bet you didn’t. Most people don’t as they are scared of her appearance. People should try to look beyond that.

Also, The Londen Fashion Week has started again. And I don’t want to offend anybody, but I saw some pictures. Photos of young women showing off someone’s creation. Nothing wrong with that, I totally agree. But! Yes, there is a but to this. These girls got signed because they’re pretty. They have natural beauty, like a good bone structure, full lips or nice eyes. But then, when they’re doing a photoshoot, or modelling on a catwalk, they get covered in multiple layers of make-up. And not just some foundation to make you less shiny while walking with those bright lights. And not just some mascara or eyeliner to let your eyes stand out. No. They’re like a doll you practice on and you can’t get it clean anymore. Thick eye shadow that’s not bringing out anything but the lack of air for your skin. So much and often so ugly too.

Why don’t they just let these girls be what they were signed up for; a young girl with pretty features.

I know I’ve let my perception of beauty shine its light in this blogpost – a lot. But I do think that the most beautiful people, are the ones with a good heart. Cause I think your inner beauty makes you shine on the outside.

So don’t pay attention to what the media says is beauty. Cause in that case we’d all be as thin as a ruler and I don’t think that’s very healthy.

Be yourself and love yourself. Pure beauty comes with that.

Much love,

Sam.
