This book is about Regan and Liam. Or Regan and Luna. That kind of depends on what part of the day it is. Liam is transgender, a girl born in the body of a boy. But she only let’s Luna out at night when the parents are asleep. Regan, Luna’s sister is the only one who knows about this secret.
I think it is amazing that there’s a book written about a subject like this. I know some things about it so it’s not all new information, but I’ve never actually met anyone who’s transgender. And so I think it’s good that you can now have a little look inside their lives.
I do kind of dislike Regan, though. She keeps saying she loves Luna and that she will support Liam in everything she does. But on the other hand, she keeps saying that it is ruining her life. She thinks it’s weird that Liam wants to transit. And it makes her a bit two-faced. I really don’t like it. It’s like she’s fine with it, but she doesn’t want anyone else to know about it, because it gives her a bad reputation. Regan is so self-centered that it makes me want to cry. But maybe there’s a logic to it, as her hole life revolves around Luna and Liam…
I wonder what Maxx thought off it.
