I love… – List number four

Can I please start this blogpost by saying sorry? I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything lately. I’ve been busy; my job at the beach, my 21st birthday and my sick dog. Especially the last one has taken my mind off of blogging. My buddy turned seven on Tuesday the 14th. The same day as I turned 21.

He’s got cancer in his longs. So he’s not breathing very well and he doesn’t really want to eat either. He’s still alive, but I don’t think it’ll take long for him to go. So, sorry for taking some time off.

To start again, I’ve prepared a list of things I love. It’s a small one, but still.

I love…

The beach – The wind in your hair, the smell of the sea, sand between your toes. Lovely.

Fruit – You can wake me up for fruit, definitely. Some of them are even good for my moods.

Music – Every mood has its own song or artist. It can either calm me down or make me happy.

My dog – The way his ears move when he’s drinking, the way he sometimes winks at me or when he’s playing and barking.

Friends – Where would you be without them?

Books – I love to escape to a whole other world that doesn’t even really exists.

Concerts – Sing as loud as you can and have fun with your favourite band!

Much love,

Sam

Facts about me – List number three

This is not really a list about a special topic like fears and artists. This list contains just random facts about me that most likely will come back in other lists as well.

Fact 1 – Strawberries are good for my mood. I don’t know if it works with any type of fruit, but when I feel down or cranky, just give me some strawberries. It’s like the sun in side of me starts shining again. So give me strawberries and you get a happy Sam in return.

Fact 2 – One thing I fear the most are spiders. When I see one I get goose bumps all over my body, I start to sweat and my eyes get teary. Horrible.

Fact 3 – When I die, I want to be buried. I don’t want to be cremated or anything, just buried. I want a nice stone, preferably heart shaped.

Fact 4 – I am a massive Potterhead. I love Harry Potter. The movies, the books, everything. I would love to go to the studios and the theme park. Who is willing to accompany me?

Fact 5 – I love writing. I always bring some pen and paper with me, where ever I go. Luckily we’ve got phones nowadays, so if I forget my pen and paper, it’s not really a problem anymore. But I do this ever since I was a kid. Even in my early days I used to come up with little stories about nothing and everything.

Fact 6 – I love music. I listen to it all the time and I love buying CDs. I don’t download online, I sometimes even rip it off of YouTube. But if I really like an artist, I buy the album. There’s a song or artist for every mood.

Fact 7 – Reading helps me escape from the real world. I love the way you can visit a whole other world, just by turning the page. A world that’s yours and where you won’t be disturbed.

Fact 8 – Visiting concerts is the best way for me to get rid of any bad emotions. Just sing along to the songs, dance and have a good time. It keeps me going for a while.

Fact 9 – I stand up for myself and my friends. If I don’t like what someone says about me or my friends, I’ll say something about it. I’m not just a puppet on a string you can just play with.

Fact 10 – I can’t stand it when people are late or when they don’t keep a promise.

Fact 11 – I don’t call people friends just like that. It’s takes a while. In the meantime, you’ll just be someone I know.

Fact 12 – I am very easily distracted.

Fact 13 – I love my bed. We have a very good relationship.

Fact 14 – I have two brothers and a dog. My father is my neighbour.

Fact 15 – I cry very easily. When someone’s crying on TV, or when I’m reading a story. Even if it’s a good audition on some kind of talent show.

Fact 16 – One day I want to publish a book.

So, how does it feel to get to know me a little bit better?

Much love,

Sam

Favourite Artists – List number two

I thought this would be the perfict time for one of my lists, as it’s been a while since I posted the first one. As you can see from the title, this list will be about my favourite artists. It won’t be in a particular order, just randomly put together. This is because I don’t have a real favourite, just a few that I love. So, let’s go.

Adam Lambert – I saw him live once, in Amsterdam. It was such a good show! Heavenly. His voice is so good! I can’t wait for him to come back to promote his second album Trespassing.

30 Seconds To Mars– The boys were in Holland a few years ago, in 2010 I believe? I went to see them with a friend and we were really close to the stage. But it was a hot day and it was very muggy inside the venue. So when Jared told us to come closer to the stage by all taking three steps forward, I said to my friend that I couldn’t really breath and that I would meet her again after the gig at the bar. I wanted her to enjoy this show, as I was actually there for her, she infected me with her fan-ness. But people wouldn’t let me get through and then I collapsed. It got to hot and there wasn’t enough fresh air, so someone took me to the first aid spot, which happened to be backstage. There I sat against the wall, heavily breathing and drinking some water. Not able to act only a little bit normal. And then a wild Jared appeared. He looked at me, looked at the first aid lady, looked back at me and then again back to the lady. He said; “Make sure she doesn’t come after me.”
I hated him for that, I was there because of him. He made me miss the rest of the show and he didn’t even bother to ask if I was doing OK. I really didn’t like that. But next time they are in Holland again, I will be going to the show. I want to see their entire show. Cause who can be mad at someone as beautiful as Jared Leto?

Destine – Great and lovely boys from Holland, chasing their dream. Five lads that got together to make some music and are now taking the world by storm. Gigs in Holland, Belgium, Germany, France, England and Asia. Recording with James Paul Wisner in the States! They’re so nice and I love their music.

Katy Perry – I love her style and her songs, she’s just amazing. And she may not always be as pitch perfect, but she’s cool and she’s a great performer.

Jedward – These two boys are  so much fun. I got to meet them when they were in Holland a few months ago and they were so nice. Genuinely good guys.

Olly Murs – X-Factor 2009 runner up. His music is great, his moves are cool and his voice is amazing!

Kensington – Five guys from Holland with music that makes you think they’re from the UK, or something. It’s indirock from Holland and the guys are super nice! Check them out!

Joe McElderry – The winner of X-Factor 2009. His first album was all poppy and I loved it. After that he entered ‘From popstar to opera star’ and released two albums with classic opera songs. I don’t really like those, but I’m still hoping he will go back to releasing pop songs.

Only Seven Left – Another Dutch band. Really cool. They’ve released two albums and the current singer is their third, best and hopefully last.

Ed Sheeran – His songs are lovely. Just him and his guitar and it makes me so calm.

One Direction – Yes, I am a Directioner. I’m not a hysterical and passionate one, but I do like their music. They seem like five really good lads who are always having fun while living their dream. I would love to meet them one day.

Ok, so that’s it. It’s not all the artist I like, it’s just my ten favourites. Again, just randomly ordered. And please don’t judge me? I know my music taste sucks, haha.

Much love,

Sam

Me and my lists

There are things I like and things I hate. One of those likes is lists. I love making lists and I have to say, I tend on making them quite often. Lists of things I need to buy, things I need to do, things I need to remember and even ideas for a new blog post on WordPress.

So I figured I should put some of them online, here on my page. It’s a way for you to get to know me and a way for me to get to know myself a bit more as well. Cause when you start thinking about who you really are, you find out so much more about yourself. It’s like meeting a stranger who’s actually been on your side your whole life.

The best moment to start is now, I guess and I would like to start with my bucket list. It’s not a long list. It’s simple, but hard. It’s me.

My Bucket List:

  • To see the Northern Lights
  • To write a book and maybe even have a movie made of it
  • To visit the Harry Potter Theme Park in Orlando
  • To have a wall fully loaded with books
  • To go on a holiday to Ireland
  • To go on a holiday to Scotland
  • To see The Lord Of The Dance perform live (I mean Michael Flatley, not the show, I’ve seen the show and I’ve cried during the entire     show, but more about that later in another list)
  • To meet Adam Lambert
  • To meet Jedward
  • To meet 30 Seconds to Mars
  • To be successful at my job

My bucket list has no particular order, but what’s on top of your list? Let me know. Maybe we share some things or maybe we could even help each other achieving their goals.

Much love,

Sam
